Gangster Squad is directed by Rueben Fleisher and it's a movie about a secret police gang created to take down the criminal who runs the city.
There are many famous actors in this film but that is not enough although it brings a lot to this movie.
The characters in this film lacked substance specially Emma Stone because you really feel like she is only being use d because she is hot. But this movie works for what it is, a silly popcorn film and there comes the problem.
This film has great action scenes some good dialogue, specially Ryan Gosling.
But then the film goes on to try and be something bigger and it fails and that is the problem with this film.
This is a very short review but that is it.
So Overall
"Gangster Squad is a good popcorn action film and fails when tries to be more."
