TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D MOVIE REVIEW
After a bunch of reboots sequels and spin offs made long time ago which were dated and bad we actually get a reboot of all the sequels of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre . That may sound confusing and it is.
Texas Chainsaw 3D is the official sequel to the original film, in which a chick has to get an inheritance and she meets Leatherface with a bunch of good looking generic teens.
This is a horrible movie, not only because it tried to be so good and it failed miserably. This movie has holes in the plot. It takes place in present time although it's a sequel to the one which occurred in the 70s and the chick didin't age.
The teens are so generic because the filmakers tried to adapt them to new generation of teens and it does not work. It never did, they kind of did that in the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street and it worked but every slasher film apart from Scream that came out since 2006 has failed doing that.
Alexandra Daddario is the main chick and she is acting as if she is in a tv show episode of the new Two and a Half Men. Not the same scenario but that is the quality of the acting.
All the teenagers are attractive like it's the CW and none of them are likable or new.
Leatherface was the only good thing in this film, i thought he looked cool, but that is not enough.
Some of the scenes were disturbing and some others confusing. I could watch a guy eat shit and be disgussed and that does not make the content good.
Originally they were going to make a trilogy out of chronological order starting with the second film taking place in a hospital, the a prequel to explain these events and finally a last film to end the plot line but they thought it was way to risky.
What they did was ignore all the other films apart from the original, and say this is the real one, the official one.
Overall
"Texas Chainsaw 3D is yet another generic flick who could have potential and failed. This movie tried to be so big that disappointed many people who had hope. This is a horrible movie."
