OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN MOVIE REVIEW

The Die Hard rip-off that's actually better than the latest Die Hard.

Olympus has fallen stars Gerard Butler a CIA operative who is the only one alive in the White House after it is attacked by North Korean terrorists and he has to use his skills to rescue the U.S President (Aaron Eckhart).

This movie would be the perfect Die Hard 4, the premise could be made to fit and Olympus Has Fallen is a throw back to 80s and 90s pop corn action films.

Gerard Butler does a great job at being the hero and he has the McLane's one liner's which make the movie really enjoyable.

Morgan Freeman is the man who tries to keep everything under control and he is awesome as usual and says some really patriotic lines and keeps you on tension.

Aaron Eckhart i felt was underused as the U.S president, we know how good he is but the President of the US was not a big role, he had a couple of cool lines with the terrorists but i just felt he was there.

The problem with this film is that another Die Hard in The White House is happening in 2013 and it's called White House down and it has an identical premise and i don't know if i am going to enjoy it less because of this movie which came out of nowhere really (for me).

The movie has some cheap CGI effects that looked as though they could have been better, there are CGI blood kills and things i thought could have been done better.

The action scenes were really fun and enjoyable it isin't as good as Die Hard but you can enjoy the hell out of it because it is modern (Since Die 4 {although OK} and 5 were not really Die Hard).

The movie was directed by the guy from Training Day and the dialogue was really good for this kind of film, the villain was good and the performances really brought it up.

So overall:

"Olympus Has Fallen is a good pop-corn flick with good dialogue, performances and action scenes . You will have a fun time while watching it and forget about it."

7.0/10

By the way the "Olympus Has Fallen" title is also a throw back to the latest Die Hard Movies.
