EPIC MOVIE REVIEW
In Epic a teenager finds herself shrunk a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world -- and ours.
I was not particularly looking forward to see Epic because non of the trailers impressed me and neither did the posters. It is also made by the creators of Ice Age which i enjoyed the first and third installments of and the fourth was really bad, however they also did the movie Rio which i enjoyed. Now coming into this movie and seeing who was involved with it i knew i was going to get a mediocre movie.
The plot of this film isn't exactly original, which is fine and i think kids will really find themselves into this adventure but it's no Toy Story 3, you might be bored, you might get into it or you might just find it mediocre.
I think that this movie is not exactly mediocre because some of the action in it is very entertaining and there are a few laughs as well which might make you enjoy this movie a little bit more.
The voice actors do their job well, Josh Hutcherson is in this movie and so is Collin Farrell who played an common but interesting character called Ronlin. Pitbull is in the film which bodered me because it feels they aren't putting him in the film because he is talented is just because he is Pitbull. Steve Tyler was awesome though and i got a feel chuckles.
I was perhaps let down because i wanted this movie to indeed be Epic and i think its entertaining but no way near the price of a movie ticket and not a must.
I can see people entertained by it and at the theater the kids seem to enjoy it. My favorite bits of the movie is when the final fight happens, and because this is an animation the 3D is really good as well.
So overall
"Epic is not epic, it's entertaining enough for you to enjoy it and bad enough for you to not care wether you see it or not."
