FAST AND FURIOUS 6 MOVIE REVIEW

In Fast and Furious 6 Hobbs has Dom and Brian reassemble their crew in order to take down a mastermind who commands an organization of mercenary drivers across 12 countries. Payment? Full pardons for them all.
The Fast and Furious franchise is not one i am a fan off, but two years ago Fast Five came out and i surprised me a lot since it had more of a heist film feel and i found myself really entertained although it was not a good movie.
Fast Six happily stays on the trail of Fast Five and i really like that. It keeps us entertained the whole way through but there are some thing which i think did not add to the movie and seem pointless once you see all the over-the-top action sequences which are really fun.
The film lacks great dialogue, acting and all the aspects are really mediocre so why do people enjoy it so much? I think it's the fact that you take these huge racing cars, put them in an action sequence and don't be afraid to destroy them and i love that. I remember seeing an interview of Fast Five and Van Diesel who plays the main character Don in this film said the franchise was going to please a lot more people and he was right.
Fast Six is not as good as Fast Five but if you liked Fast Five a lot you are going to enjoy this. It ties in perfect with all the other films which aren't as good but i love how they don't care and just do it. You can't simply forget Tokyo Drift.
Van Diesel and Paul Walker do a fine job in this film and so does everyone in terms of acting except for The Rock who i think stands out.
The bad guys in this film are alright, they're not anything special and this could have been a really mediocre movie but it keeps you really entertained and i hate loving watching these movies. There's one scene where the bad guy in this film starts hurting civilians for no reason and does an evil laugh.
The action is completely unrealistic but it's just so good that everyone will accept it just like Fast Five.
The film seems as it's trying to be the biggest and i don't like that, i think that Rio was the golden age. I also did not like Michelle Rodrigues, she was useless i think that her death in Fast and Furious 4 was probably the best aspect of that movie and she had cool fight scenes but apart from Avatar she always annoys me on screen, she was fine and her coming back feels as cheap as Spider Man 3 but it did add some cool cameos from previous films like Fast Furious 4.

I really enjoyed the movie, not as much as The Hangover - Part 3 but Fast and Furious 6 was like a big race track; i left the movie theater teased, and as i thought about it's mistakes i could simply answer them with "But... i had so much fun" and there's an after credit scene which just left everyone hanging.

The film set up an interesting premise for the next one. James Wan is directing it and if he does it wrong my Insidious dvd is going out the window.

So overall

"it's badly written and could be terrible but is entertaining enough to keep you sitting thorugh and really enjoying it despite it's over the topness. Fast and Furious 6 is simply fun."

7/10 (Good)
