The story of Steve Jobs' ascension from college dropout into one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of the 20th century.
Regardless of how you feel about Steve Jobs, this is a movie you should have been expecting to be good. Even you think that Steve Jobs is over-rated this movie doesn't show him as a good person, it shows him for what he was; an ambitious guy who could look like a dick sometimes.
This is the sort of move that could win Best Picture. Will it? HELL NO.
I liked this movie simply because i haven't read the Steve Jobs biography and i was really interested in his story and the creation of Apple. I'm not saying Jobs sucked, i'm saying it wasn't amazing like it had the potential to be.
Ashton Kutcher did a great Job. People have been giving him crap but it's not his fault the movie wasn't the movie wasn't amazing. If the writing was better and the director "thought differently" this movie would have been better than "The Social Network".
The thing is, the director made a really average looking movie with some average writing and great story to be told and great acting.
I got into the movie a lot but there was never a time that you could tell that the director was making a movie he wanted.
The movie also ends abruptly never finishing Steve Jobs' story, which sucks because that was the point of the film. We get one seen of him with white hair, Kutcher did a great job in that scene but the movie could have been much better if it carried on.
Overall
jOBS had a lot of potential and does not live up to its name although it will keep you extremely entertained.
7.8/10 (Good but not Great)
