BREAKING BAD SEASON 5B AND SERIES FINALE (FELINA) REVIEW!
It's the final episode of Breaking Bad, so much is expected but can one episode reach all those expectations?
I'm a huge fan of Breaking Bad and i was disappointed when the final season was moving at such a slow pace. Then the year ended on a reasonably high note and we got it.
If you watch Breaking Bad and you thought it couldn't have gotten better after Season 4 you were really wrong. Breaking Bad Season 5B was the best thing i've ever seen on television.
The Season ended with Granite State an episode which reached near perfection as a lead up to this awesome finale.
The finale starts off with Walt going to Gretchen and her husband and ultimately making them give his money to his family. Although the episode was going really well it was kind of slow.
My only problem with this finale is that it wasn't the best episode of the series. It was an amazing conclusion to the series and an amazing episode but ultimately it does what it has to and it does it really well.
I was a bit let down that this finale was as long as any episode but i left completely satisfied.
Walt manages to save Jesse from Todd's Nazi Uncle. He kills everyone in the drug business, says goodbye to his wife and daughter and in the end dies in a meth lab.
Sure it wasn't the best episode but it sure as hell wasn't playing safe either. These last episodes have been so good and they were tied up as you would have expected it to but still in a way which surprised you.
The episode could have contained some more visual stuff, which Breaking Bad does do well, but that's not what i thought about when this finished.
As an episode itself this is amazing.
As a conclusion this is amazing.
As both i guess it can't be perfect but i loved every second of it.
Walt finally admits he wasn't doing all this crap for his family. He did it cause he enjoyed it, cause he was good at it.
Jesse gets a happy ending.
We get this Scarface like climax, the interaction between Jesse and Walt is awesome and the acting was fucking brilliant.
I guess this episode would have been much better if it aired right after Granite State, because it does feel like one episode.
So overall
"The Breaking Bad finale isn't the best episode of the series, but it closes every arc perfectly and does everything you want. This series added a whole new level of expectation to television and everyone who took part should be proud. All Bad Things Come To An End. But only the great ones end well.
10/10 (Masterpiece)
The best TV SHOW of all time? It sure as hell comes close!
