DJANGO UNCHAINED MOVIE REVIEW
He may have finished the briefcase and the bride, the nazis and jews, the dogs and even Jackie Brown but Tarantino's back, but is he as good?
Well as i will keep that misterious until the end, this is a very good movie to nobody's surprise.
If you are not a Tarantino fan you will not like this movie . If you liked Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill you will like this movie.
The plot follows Christopher Waltz a bounty hunter who goes to Django (Jamie Foxx) who is an ex-slave who's wife has been sold and tells him that if he helps him with his bounty he will get his wife back from Leonardo DiCaprio.
That is the shortest plot possible to this movie because there is three ours of film and various sub-plots but i don't want to give anything thing away.
This film is a spaghetti western, Tarantino has touched on it with Kill Bill 2 before.
Jammie Foxx was good in this movie and his journey was interesting and you really got into the movie and what was going on.
Christopher Waltz was damn good, i loved his character and he pretty much had the scenes with Django for me.
Leonardo DiCaprio was amazing in this film, he did a really good performance in Shutter Island and in Inception and in this film he is arguably the villain. He plays a different role that he usually does and he is really a dick. I loved his performances and it is arguably the best this year.
Samuel L. Jackson is just as good as always, he plays the same role as he does in the Tarantino films and he gives out a very entertaining performance. He is alson a villain in the movie however, even though he was good, DiCaprio played a different performance but Jackson stole all the scenes he was in.
This is a very long film and those of you who do not like it may find it disturbing to sit for three ours in a theater, i recommend it to be watched at home however i can't think of a scene that should be cut out.
The score i will give this film might be high, but it is mainly because of the shinning performances and the Tarantino feel of violence and very good dialogue.
So overall
"Django Unchained is an entertaining Tarantino film with excellent performances and dialogue and a intriguing story that reminds us of the golden Tarantino age"
9.7/10 (Very goood)
