A DEA agent and a naval intelligence officer find themselves on the run after a botched attempt to infiltrate a drug cartel. While fleeing, they learn the secret of their shaky alliance: Neither knew that the other was an undercover agent.
I was not really exited for 2 GUNS, i had seen a trailer for it and found it to be interesting but i came in to the move reasonably blind and i am happy to say that i really enjoyed this movie.
Mark Wahlberg hasn't done anything new since his role on Ted. He usually plays the same character in every movie he's in and i was actually surprised to see him in this different role and i had a couple of laughs from him.
Denzel Washington is still great, what did you expect?
I thought this movie had a really interesting premise where both of them are set up and i had a couple of laughs and enjoyed the movie as much as i could.
Washington and Wahlberg had great chemistry together.
After i left the theatre i noticed that if this was a television show it wouldn't be bad and this really felt like a good buddy cop television show. It's probably never going to happen though.
Overall
"2 GUNS is a really fun comedy action flick with my favorite Mark Wahlberg performance in a movie and great chemistry between the two main actors. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to the theatre and watch it, but if you do it will be worth it."
7.5/10 (Good but not Great)
